Get Involved

Do you want to get more involved in the Finca?

A great way to do so is by speaking to your Priest about taking up a second collection or hosting a fundraiser!

If you want someone to come talk at your event we can make that happen! Reach out to Sara Wizniuk at Sara@farmofthechild.org

Giving Tuesday

THANK YOU will never be sufficient for the way you, our bienhechores (donors/ literally doers of good) showed up for our mission this Giving Tueday. Many tears were shed over the goodness of each of you. There were donations from friends, family, former missionaries and even current missionaries wanting to keep this mission alive. You are in the daily prayers of everyone here at the Farm of the Child.

In total with our matching donations we were able to raise over $56,000!

Christmas Cards

A great way to support the Farm this year is by using one of our predesigned Christmas Cards or by mentioning us as a great organization to donate to at the end of the year!

You can see our Christmas Card designs here as well as a QR code that can be included in your Christmas card.

(Card to the right is one of our now former children when she was little!)

He is passionate about the mission and spends at least a week every year in Honduras to be with our community.

If you've ever met Tom you know he is kind, patient and a wealth of wisdom and are are grateful for all the talents he shares with us!

This Month around the Farm

Ninth Grade Graduation

Our 9th grade graduated last week. 9th grade is the highest level of education required by Honduras and is a big celebration. Three of our Finca children were part of the graduating class and will be continuing their studies and career tracks next year!

Sunset swim

Five of our missionaries, Natalie, Kenna, Kristen, Megan and Luke go for a sunset swim during Kristen and Megan's last week at the Finca.

Despedidas

November was full of despedidas (Goodbye parties) for our children graduating, turning 18 and missionaries that are leaving. Each despedida includes food, dancing and a chance for everyone to honor and talk about those that are leaving. Picture above are missionaries and children dancing and our Psychologist with two of our tías that care for our children.

Thank you, Class of 2021!

A huge thank you to Karen, Alicia, Kristen, Megan, Emma and Luke pictured above for the incredible gift of self they have given for the past 16-28 months! The Finca has been changed for the better due to their presence and we cannot thank them enough for their "Yes". They are picture here being honored by the Mayor of Trujillo for their service.
