School Year 2023

Our new school year begins today! Due to rainy season and holidays, Honduras' school schedule runs from Feb- November. Please keep all of our students and staff in your prayers!

Thank you to those who helped us replenish our computer lab and sent down school supplies, particularly Lansing Catholic High School. We are starting the school year off on the right foot thanks to your contributions.

A Visit to the Naval Base

This month our children in our Bridge to Independent Living (PAVI) program were able to visit the Puerto Castillo Naval Base.

Our PAVI program is crucial in preparing our young adults for the many facets of adulthood, from how to handle money, to cooking or planting and finally exploring different career options. We are blessed to have the participation of many members of the community to help us in this time of learning.

Missionary Spotlight

Drew and Molly McAuliff

Drew and Molly McAuliff have just entered their second year of service at the Finca with their three children. From the moment they stepped on to the property these two have been giving all of themselves to the mission while simultaneously providing a beautiful image of true family life to everyone that meets them.

Molly has been our missionary coordinator for the past 1+ year, a job that entails leading the missionary community, advising on programmatic items at the Finca and dealing with the Honduran government. Needless to say it's a large job that Molly has handled with Grace.

Drew, as our resident project manager has been instrumental in making sure that the Finca's infrastructure is properly updated. He oversaw the solar panels and the fixing of our fence, both major projects. He has also made us a detailed 10 year plan of what and how to update necessary items.

On top of their jobs, they have also brought a beautiful ministry of presence to the Finca and witness to family life. Their newest ministry is to pay for the ceremony of those in our neighboring communities that would like to get married but cannot afford it. They will also be bringing in married couple to speak to the children on the beauty that marriage can be.

Read more from the McAuliffs here and please keep them in your prayers!
