Hurricane Update from Farm of the Child and Honduras

Over the past two weeks, Hurricanes Eta and Iota have caused great destruction and damage to many parts of Central America. The Farm of the Child community was evacuated to the nearest town, Trujillo, during the high point of both of these storms. While our community is settled back at the Farm safely, we need your help to continue our mission during this precarious time.

First, we ask for your prayers! Many of the biological families of our children, neighboring families, and students were affected more severely by the storms as they live in unstable housing or in regions hit harder by the storms, so we ask for your prayers for their safety and recovery efforts.

Secondly, we ask for any support that you are able to provide as we respond to the needs of the community and ongoing needs of the Farm. The Farm of the Child remains a stable provider of jobs, healthcare, education, and a home for children in a very vulnerable region. Please help us ensure that we are able to respond to the many needs of our community and the projected increased costs in food and fuel due to the storm, by donating here.

The recovery and reconstruction will be ongoing as Honduras faces the aftermath of three weeks of extreme weather.
