Meet Nate, the guy with the biggest smile and most contagious laugh! Nate can be found dutifully delivering water all over the Finca, practicing driving stick shift around the campo, debating with Megan who the greatest quarterback of all time is, and smiling at the sun. He is dedicated to the present moment and helps us all to see God in each moment.

What do you love about being a missionary at the Farm?

Being a missionary at the Finca is so unbelievably awesome because of the indescribable love, peace, and joy that exists within the Finca gates. Even when I first arrived at the Finca and my Spanish skills were far less than stellar, the kids, tías, watchies, maintenance staff, and everyone else at the Finca found creative ways to communicate with me and to show me that I am loved. The best cure for a bad day is taking one quick lap around the campo and seeing the endless joy of the Finca kids playing, raking, or simply being present with the other kids living in their house. THE FINCA IS SO INCREDIBLE!!

Favorite moment at the Farm:

My favorite moment so far at the Finca has been our community cooking nights on Saturdays! The entire missionary community, including the McAuliff family, helps to cook the meal for the night, and the night always consists of great music, endless laughs, and the joy of 16 adult and children missionaries shining through. Throughout the busy day-to-day life at the Finca, it can be challenging for the entire missionary community to all be together for any significant amount of time. That is partly why the community cooking nights are so amazing as we get to spend quality time enjoying each other’s presence!
